I’m often asked about how Reiki works and what, exactly, it is! It really isn’t as mysterious as people think. If you haven’t experienced it, it doesn’t hurt to try.

I was attending a weekend leadership retreat in 2001.  Sadly, I got sick, in a not-so-pleasant way, while sharing space with the rest of our group! Someone in our small group asked if she could support me with Reiki. I was skeptical, but desperate! I laid down on the grass outside and to my surprise, my symptoms lessened and within a few hours I felt so much better. It took me a few years before deciding to learn more about it, and for me, there was no better way to do that than signing up to be a Reiki practitioner. Working with Janet Raftis, I advanced through Level I, II and on to become a Reiki Master.
